Shame on those of you that don't pick up your dogs poop! There are many of you because it's all over this mid sized park. I tried finding an area to throw a ball around with my dog with no poop but it's all over the place! Good way to transmit parasites. You don't mind walking thru poop or your dog running around in it and tracking it into your home? There's poop bags supplied there and tools to clean up with. Big holes there that dogs dig and the owner doesn't fill it in before they leave. Let alone not telling the dog to stop digging it. Some ones gonna break their neck and sue the town. If you don't respect, don't go. If you can't pick it up let your dog poop remain all over at your house. The town made this nice park, great trees and picnic tables shielded from the sun. Keep your little dogs on the little dog side. It's not a children's park, it's a dog park. Caution should always be taken bringing little kids around animals that don't know you. You are doing so at your own risk.
Nice park, but people need to keep their aggressive dogs home. My gentle greyhound was attacked for walking over to apparently the owners to say hi.
I’ve been going to this park for over two years without incident, however, the last two times I went there, my Springer Spaniels were attacked by aggressive dogs. Too many people bringing aggressive dogs! I no longer consider this dog park safe! I will not return to this park!
This place is fantastic to bring dogs. I love North Port and their desire to make the city family and animal friendly (all playgrounds and parks are pet friendly now). If you're seeking a place just for your dog, check this place out. There are two sections: one large dog and one small dog area. Friendly people to speak with as well. Plenty of obstacles for the dogs as well.
All the dogs are friendly as well as the people. I like the variety of sitting areas and all the trees. Very well kept.
